She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin H. Matthews and Lillie Mae Burkett Matthews; her daughter Sharon Charisse Oswalt; and her sister Betty Rankin. She is survived by: her husband Carlon R. Oswalt; her children, Randell Oswalt, Jamie Oswalt and Robin O. Wofford; and her siblings, Hoyt, John, Larry, Jimmy Matthews, Ann Amick and Carolyn Reeder. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concord Baptist Church.
