She was predeceased by: her husband Benjamin Franklin Dyches; her parents, Daniel Wesley and Vera Backman; and her siblings, Ruth A. Gunter, Pearl Gunter, Nettie Gunter, Bell Gunter, Irene Miller Sullivan, Juanita Marcum, Myrtle Miller, Charles Backman, Clyde Backman and Delmas Backman.
She is survived by: her siblings, Vonita McFarland and Frank Backman; her nephews, Eddie Marcum and Gary Derrick; and her aunt Thelma. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
