He was predeceased by: his parents, Eustoquio Fernandez Prieto and Dominga Militina Rodriguez Marquez; his grandparents, Ciprian Fernandez of Cuba, Tomasa Prieto of Cuba, Manuel Rodriguez Perez and Juana Maria Marquez Gonzalez of Cuba; his former wife Bertha Baserio Hernandez; his children, Leonardo Fernandez Baserio and Nilda Fernandez Baserio; and his siblings, Juana, Evelio, Manuel, Maria, Julian, Esperanza and Mercedes.
He is survived by: his son Antonio Fernandez Baserio (Hilaida Fernandez); his grandchildren, Maite Moya Fernandez and Tony Fernandez Alvarez; his great grandchildren, Alvaro Antonio Gonzalez Moya and Aytana Fernandez Esperon; and his sister Rosa Fernandez Rodriguez. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
