She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Noel Turpin and Evans Turpin of Florida; her husband Estes B. Howell, Jr.; and her brothers, Charles A. Turpin, Wilbur M. Turpin and James A. Turpin, Sr..

She is survived by : her children, Royce H. Vickery (Stephen) of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, Esther H. Ilderton (Mark) of Lexington, Sharon H. McEntire of San Diego, California, Susan H. Spires (John) of Lexington, William S. Howell (Doris) of Purvis, Mississippi, Regley E. Howell (Genee) of Harrison, Tennessee, Albert E. Howell (Tara) of Lexington and Andrew C. Howell of Lexington; and her grandson Charles Baswell Howell. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lexington Baptist Church (308 E Main St, Lexington, SC 29072). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
