She was predeceased by: her father Robert "Bobby" Gayle; her grandparents, Joe E., Grace Whieldon (Harrington), Robert L. and Jennie Gayle (Plowden); her uncles, Joe E. Whieldon Jr. and Charles L. Whieldon; and her brother-in-law Christopher Bass.
She is survived by: her mother Nancy Whieldon Peeples of Irmo; her husband Ben Bass, III of Lexington; her sisters, Natalie Carter (Michael) of Lexington and Meghan Peeples of Irmo; her aunt Jane Whieldon of Longs; her siblings' children, Grayham Carter and Emily Grace Carter; her parents-in-law, Ben Bass Jr. and Carol Ann Bass; and her sister-in-law Jennifer Walling.
