She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred "Al" Slaughter; her parents, Julian Pennington and Lillie Baughman Pennington; and her siblings, Thomas Julian Pennington and Retha Perry.
She is survived by: her children, Rock A. Slaughter (Suzette), Melody Slaughter Heffline of Lexington, SC, Tim Dominick of Lexington, SC, Sandra Gray of Aiken and Sherry White of Aiken; her sister Bessie Ann Rains; and her grandchildren, Lindsey Slaughter Hughes (Christopher), Ashley Slaughter and Finje Mutter. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Due to the covid-19 situation face mask are asked to be worn and social distancing will be observed for the visitation and funeral.
