He was predeceased by: his parents, John Raymond Ellison and Gladys Burry Ellison; and his brother John William "Bill" Ellison. He is survived by: his wife Penny Edwards Ellison; his children, John Scott Ellison (Emily) and Ashley Chatham Ellison; and his sister Betty Ellison Morris.
