It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harriet Wilkinson Payne of Lexington, South Carolina, born in Athens, Georgia, who passed away on February 21, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas Albert Payne, Sr.; and her parents, Harry Eugene Wilkinson and Katherine DuBose Wilkinson. She is survived by: her children, Thomas A. "Chip" Payne, Jr. (Shannon) of Lexington and Ashleigh Payne Sease (Jimmy) of Flowery Branch, GA; her sisters, Janet Purvis (Andy) of Corpus Christi, TX and Margaret Hutchens (Robert) of Sumter; and her grandchildren, Caroline Payne, Catie Payne, Tripp Payne, Cooper Sease and Connor Sease.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 230 Alice Drive, Sumter, SC 29150.
