He was predeceased by: his brothers, Marvin Strange and Olin Dee Strange. He is survived by: his spouse Jo-Ann Strange; his daughter Linda Sharpe (David); his sister Ruby Lee Dukes; and his grandchildren, Amanda Sharpe, Angela Peeples and Pamela Chapman. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
