James Elwyn Barfield Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Elwyn Barfield Jr. (Lexington, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 8, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father James Elwyn Barfield, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Sarah Dengate; his wife Linda Moore Barfield; his children, Elizabeth, Margaret, John and Binh; his grandson Dylan; his pet Gretchen; his sister-in-law Carol Moore; his cousins, Frances Dengate, Patty Procopio and Jimmy Dengate; and his friend Jim. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in Jim's name to A Living Tribute (https://alivingtribute.org), a cause close to Jim's heart. Contributions may also be made to the Lexington Rotary Club, Scholarship Program, a legacy that will continue his work and help to carry forward the values he held dear.
