He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Chris Verne (Beth), Barbara Seymour (Keith), Michael Virzi and Sara Barr (Tom); his grandchildren, Wesley, Melissa, Zachary, Joshua, Nicholas, Virginia, Alex, Rachel and Emily; and his brother Robert Verne (Trish) of Chapel Hill, NC..
