It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Juanita Chaney Corley (Lexington, South Carolina), born in Gaston, South Carolina, who passed away on April 11, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Archie Lee Corley; and her siblings, Lessie Hallman, Louise Lee and Tillman Chaney. She is survived by: her daughter Janice Corley Sanders (Bill); her grandchildren, Ginger Sanders (Paula) and Kevin Sanders (Jennifer) of Lexington; her great grandchildren, Garrett Sanders and Blythe Sanders; her sisters, Lucille Fertick, Jessie Gibson of West Columbia and Katie Wannamaker (John) of Cayce; and her grandchildren, Robbie Ellison and Carissa Ellison. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff and faculty of Colonial Gardens and Lighthouse Hospice for the love and care that was shown for Juanita better known as "Sweetie." In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Juanita's name to the cemetery fund at Pilgrim Lutheran Church and/or Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation.
