He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Rembert and Louise Perry Shealy; his wife Zelda S. Shealy; his grandson Thomas Meetze (Brandon Meetze); his son-in-law John Collins; and his brother Rembert B. Shealy, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Larry O'Dell "Dale" Shealy (Karen), Sharon Meetze (Charles, Sr.), Robert L. Shealy and Melanie Collins; his sisters, Mary Atkins, Brenda Steele and Catherine Bedenbaugh; his grandchildren, John Collins, Jr., Michael Meetze (Brittany), Jim Collins, Joshua Shealy (Heather), Katie Shealy, Gage Shealy and Jasmine Meetze; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Meetze, Liam Long, Christian Meetze, Cameron Meetze, Cooper Gilpatrick, Noel Hydrick, Zoey Meetze, Bryson Suttcliff, Jasper Shealy and Knoxlee Shealy.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Barr-Price Funeral Home Batesburg-Leesville Chapel (256 Main St, Leesville, SC 29070). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Ridge Crest Memorial Park (329 Summerland Ave, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006).
