He was predeceased by: his son Lewis Edwin Watson, IV; and his brother Robert Watson. He is survived by: his wife Ninette; his son Heath Watson (Crystal); his stepdaughter Giselle Hayes (Chris); his daughter-in-law Leigh Watson; his grandchildren, Luke, Matt, Sarah, Savannah, Carleigh and Lana; his sisters, Lynne Bradford and Holly Piercy (Fred); and also North Blount St.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in memory of his son, Lewis Edwin Watson, IV to ALS Association of North Carolina, 4 North Blount St. Ste. 200, Raleigh, NC 27601.
