She was predeceased by: her parents, Ulrich Chester Tomlinson and Mary Tallon Tomlinson; her husband Major Summerford, Jr.; her son Mex Summerford; her sister Mary Cannon Moody of Virginia; and her grandsons, Tallon Dorociak and Marshall Dorociak.
She is survived by: her children, Beth Summerford Frazier (Phil), Bryan Summerford (Libby) and Sara Summerford Hargett (Eddie); and her siblings, Sarah Dixson of Greenville, SC and Rick Tomlinson of Beaufort, SC.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a step-granddaughter, and a step-great-granddaughter.
