He was predeceased by: his parents, William Boyd of Lexington and Viola Roof Jernigan of Lexington; his brother William Earl Jernigan; and his sister-in-law Betty Hartman Jernigan of Prosperity. He is survived by: his wife Jeannette Martin Jernigan; his daughters, Kathy Brewer (Joe) of Aiken, Donna Jernigan of Lexington and Debbie Medlock (Ron) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Christopher (Michelle), Erica, Jacob (Nova), Rachael, Laura, Emily and Austin (Megan); and his great grandchildren, Olivia and Cameron.
Memorials may be made to Nazareth Lutheran Church.
