It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Mayes Fowler of Lexington, South Carolina, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Elmo Mayes and Edith Eva Evans Mayes; her husband Benjamin E. Fowler, Sr.; her grandson Jason Fowler; and her foster parents, Richard E. Wampler and Halcy Margaret Wampler.
She is survived by: her son Benjamin E. Fowler (Cindy); her stepson Cheslie E. Fowler (Debra); her grandchildren, Kimberly Lewis (Matt), Megan Fowler, Josh and Justin Siegfried; her great grandchildren, Hailey Fowler, Breanna Sox, Jeremiah, Gabriel Lewis and Malik Driggers; her siblings, Danny Mayes, Coeburn, Allen Robinette and Pamela Bates (Charlie); her stepmother Cora Mae Mayes; her foster siblings, Larry Wampler (Lynn), Richard E. Wampler (Mindy), Ronald Wampler and Lydia W. Vanderdorft; and her close friends, Mary Goodwin and Linda Presnell (James). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Dunn's Chapel.
