He is survived by: his daughter Vonda Chavis; his siblings, Richard Chavis, Tommy Chavis, Bruce Chavis, Eddie Chavis (Debra) and Jacqueline Hoover (Jeff); his granddaughters, Kayla Purvis (Robert) and Faith Donaldson (Dylan); and his great grandchild Aubrey Purvis.
