She was predeceased by: her husband Phillip M. Spencer; her parents, Claude Johnson and Stella Johnson; her brother Claude E. Johnson; and her grandson Michael Hayes.
She is survived by: her children, Charline Witherspoon (Ken) of Lexington, SC, Bonnie Parker (Paul) of Luthersville, GA and Phillip "Monty" Spencer Jr. of Lexington, SC; and her grandchildren, Christina "Tina" Keel of Lexington, SC, Barron Keel (Christy) of Lexington, SC, Cynthia Hayes of Luthersville, GA and Christiana Corbett of Florida. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
