He was predeceased by: his son William Mack Burriss, Jr.; his spouse Randy Flowers Burriss; his parents, William Thomas Burriss and Sybil Lyles Burriss; and his brothers, Donald Thomas Burriss and MiIlford Deal Burriss.

He is survived by: his daughters, Laurie Burriss Fulmer and Lynn Burriss Spivey; his former wife Jacque Epps Burriss; and his grandchildren, Karlynn Mackenzie Fulmer, Harrison Craig Fulmer and Lauren Brooklynn Spivey.
