He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hopkins and Rebecca Hopkins (Malone); and his siblings, Deacon Farrell Hopkins (Dorothy) and Catherine "Sissy" Dolan (Eugene). He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Hopkins (Cain); his daughters, Elizabeth Piel (David) of Oakville, CT and Mary Kate "Katie" Hopkins of Little River, SC; his grandchildren, David, Jason, Sean, Catherine (Piel) and Rebecca (Hopkins); and his brother William Hopkins of Long Beach, NY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
