He was predeceased by : his parents, John D. Blanton and Edna Rabon Blanton; and his sister Diane Blanton. He is survived by : his wife Sesley Gore Blanton; his daughters, Misty Blanton Jones (Chris) of Conway, SC and Melissa Blanton Buffkin of Loris, SC; his brother Ronnie Blanton of Loris, SC; and his grandchildren, Noah Jones, Bailey Jones, Alex Buffkin, Colin Buffkin and Ryder Buffkin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Horry County Fire & Rescue.
