As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Helen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Lee Griffin and Louise Rose Light Griffin; and her son Jimmy Lee Cody. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Campbell (Timothy) of Elgin, S. C., Kenny Cody (Janice) of Lexington, Joey Thames (Angie) of Manning, S. C. and Robert Thames (Connie) of Shelbyville. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Harmony Baptist Church (998 Tookie Doo Ln, Elgin, SC 29045). A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oaklawn Cemetery (1166-1178 Pine St, Pelion, SC 29123).
