He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Butler Williams, II and Jean Louise Stein Williams. He is survived by: his children, James Luther Williams (Lisa) and Hagan Blythe Williams (Wyatt); his grandchildren, Valerie Williams and Owen Williams; and his siblings, Susan Williams, Nancy McNulty (Patrick), Robert Williams (Cecelia) and Gary Williams (Carolyn). He is also survived by his friends and family.
