He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Ray Kirkley; his parents, Julius Kirkley and Ola Hunter Kirkley; his son-in-law Timmy Barnes; and his siblings, Lawson Kirkley, Drew Kirkley, Judson Kirkley, Gladys and Grace Plyler.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Kirkley (Tammy), Rip Kirkley (Cindy) and Dawn Kirkley Barnes; his grandchildren, Shane Kirkley (Annah) of Meagan Kirkley, R. J, Kyle Kirkley and T. J. Barnes; and his sister Judy Tiller. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Shriner Children's Hospital.
