He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Irene Richardson Blizzard; his children, Don Allen Blizzard and Mary Lou Blizzard Peake; and his brother Roy Blizzard.

He is survived by: his sons, John Henry Blizzard, James Wesley Blizzard (Deborah) and Joe Frank Blizzard (Donna); his son-in-law Tally Peake; and his grandchildren, Sandy Blizzard (Dempsey), Joe Blizzard (Brittany), Kristi Blizzard, Brody Peake and Zach Peake. He is also survived by two nephews; great nieces and nephews.
