He was predeceased by: his parents, James Talmadge Jackson and Margaret Mattox Jackson; and his siblings, Thelma Gates, Jeanette Branham, James Marshall, Joyce Branham and Delores Powers.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Kay Gunn Jackson; his children, Tammy Jackson and Johnny Jackson, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Heather, Christopher and Bryson.
