He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Arthur Carraway and Mary Jane Stewart Carraway; his son Randy Carraway; and his siblings, Andrew Carraway, Glen Carraway and Lois Trapp.

He is survived by: his children, Johnnie Carraway (Kathy) and Julie "Cathy" Wallace (William "Steve"); and his siblings, Homer Carraway and Jeri Thompson.
