She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Donald Kent Randall and Barbara Hebner Lance; her husband William Kirk Layton; her sons, Tyler Young of Camden and Zach Young of Lugoff; her stepsons, Cooper Layton of Columbia and Spencer Layton of Lugoff; and her sister Diane Karkhanis (Parag) of Southampton, N. J..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association.
