He is survived by: his wife Donna Dodge; his children, Ricky Aaron Freeman, Austin Lee Freeman and Kaitlynn Elizabeth Freeman; his parents, Ricky Freeman (Darlgene) and Diane Freeman; his sisters, Mickey Erickson (Toby Butler) and Dana Freeman; his half-sister Meghan Nugent; and his pet Dexter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
