With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jacquelin Lawson Lyda (Marietta, South Carolina), born in Honea Path, South Carolina, who passed away on February 7, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Bailey Lawson and Evelyn Lee Lawson; her sons, Nathan Hudgins and Bobby Hudgins; her sisters, Louise Sudduth and Marie Belcher; and her stepson Jeff Lyda.

She is survived by: her husband James Vernon Lyda, Sr.; her children, Eva Christine "Chris" Seay (Lucky), Denise Hudgins and Carl Ray Hudgins (Diane); and her sisters, Betty Hardin and Gloria Riggs.
