He was predeceased by : his parents, Anna Cooper and William Boykin, Sr.; his sisters, Sallie Tucker, Rose Colleton (Richard), Henrietta Smalls (Peter Sr.) and Addie Frasier (Thomas); and his children, Barianne Deas, Perry Boykin Sr., Dorothy Black (Edward), Shirley Canteen (William) and Louise Jefferson (Herbert).
He is survived by : his wife Annie D. Boykin of Georgia; his children, Alethia Wragg (Joseph) of Georgetown, SC, Frank Collins (Denise) of Sunrise, FL, Sylvia Boykin of McClellanville, SC, Francena Boykin of Daniel Island, SC and Hugh Boykin (Rosemary) of McClellanville, SC; his sisters, Lucille Gilliard of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Charlotte Robinson of McClellanville, SC and Carrie Davis of McClellanville, SC; and his children-in-law, Willie Deas of Georgetown, SC and Sheila Boykin of McClellanville, SC. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
William was previously a member of Abundant Harvest Family Fellowship, but returned to his foundation at Howard A.M.E. Church and remained a member until his death.
