It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Mikels (Moore, South Carolina), born in Pinnacle, North Carolina, who passed away on April 10, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie R. Mikels and Addie Stone Mikels; and his son John D. Mikels. He is survived by: his children, Judy Levy (Howard) of Naples, FL, Susan Kress of Raleigh, NC, Jayne Morrison (Wayne) of Port St and Joe R. Mikels of Mayo, SC. He is also survived by five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The VFW or the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg Annual Campaign for youth aquatics programs.
