She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Laverne Brown and Ethel Creech Brown; her husband F. Nelson King; her son Russell N. King; her granddaughter Leah King; and her brother Laverne Brown, Jr..
She is survived by: her son Brett G. King (Rhonda) of Marion; her siblings-in-law, Winston T. King (Joyce) of Myrtle Beach and Olive K. Culbreth of Virginia; her grandchildren, Brent, Ryan, Seth and Jared King; and her close friends, Edna Earl Rouse and Mary Godbold.
