She was predeceased by: her spouse Jessie C. "J. C."; her parents, William Fred Newell and Allie Brogdon Newell; her brothers, Jim Newell and John Newell; her son-in-law John B. Kent, Jr.; and her brother-in-law Allen Price.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Andy E. Cook, Jessica Grace James (Allan) and Breanna C. Chavarria (Andrew); her sisters, Helen N. Price and Sylvia N. Powell (Larry); and her sisters-in-law, Ruby S. Newell and Betty B. Newell. She is also survived by her girls, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
