He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Gray (Barney) and Hattie Gray; and his grandchild Brycen Gray. He is survived by: his wife Charlene F. Gray of Murrells Inlet, SC; his sons, Martin E. Gray (Gina), Curtis S. Gray and Shawn P. Gray (Tara); his grandchildren, Nick Gonzales, Rick Gray, Victoria Gray, Patrick Gray and Micky Gray; his great grandchild Avianna Gray; and his siblings, James Gray, Marilyn Gray Nativio (late Rudy Nativio), Kathleen Gray Mocarski (Donald) and Tommy Gray (Patty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
