She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Renfro Stuart and Elizabeth Matilda Stuart; her husband Ronald Peterson; and her children, Diana Lynn and Ronald Peterson.
She is survived by: her children, Lawrence Peterson (Emma) of Myrtle Beach and Leah Dixon of Atlanta, GA; her grandsons, James Peterson (Diana) of Myrtle Beach and David Peterson of Myrtle Beach; her great grandchildren, James Peterson, Jr. and Emily Peterson; and her siblings, Debbie Ann Brown of Nashville, TN and Ambrose Stuart of Morristown, TN..
