We are sad to announce that on November 30, 2021, at the age of 95, Rowena Jones of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest M. Donkle and Era Ervin Donkle; her siblings, Ned Ervin Donkle and Betty Jo Rinaldi; the father of her children Ralph Harkin Penley, Jr. (Buck); her husband Alvin Jones (Gene); and her daughter Bonnie Penley Pertsch.

She is survived by : her daughters, Susan Penley Dial and Dixie Grey Penley; her grandchildren, Joseph Richard Dial (Joyce), Krystal Pertsch (Todd) and Heather Pertsch Grindle (Merlin); her great grandchildren, Jake, Lynleigh, Hayden, Ethan, Maverick and Mason; and her nephews, Ned Ervin Donkle, Jr. (Susan) and William Vance Donkle (Jennifer).
