He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kay Dees Hendrix of Myrtle Beach, SC; his son Samuel Brown Hendrix III (Susan) of Red Springs, NC; his grandchildren, Kayla Hendrix of Red Springs, NC, Emily Hendrix of Red Springs, NC and Samantha Hendrix of Red Springs, NC; and his siblings, David Hendrix (Peggy) of Aberdeen, NC, Pat Gaudet (Jerry) of Charlotte, NC, Kathy Keisler of Raeford, NC and Martha Ann Beal (Philip) of Raeford, NC..
