He was predeceased by : his parent Daniel Thomas; his grandson Noah I. Boone; and his brother Robert Earl Boone. He is survived by : his spouse Linda DeLucia Boone; his parent Johnnie Marie Jackson Boone; his sons, John D. Boone (April) of New Ellenton, Thomas A. Boone (Karen) of New Ellenton and Marshall L. Boone of New Ellenton; his grandchildren, John D. Boone, II, Amber B. Weintraub (Johnny), Travis R. Boone (Amanda), Sandra Ruff and Andrew Ruff; his great grandchildren, Jaxson D. Boone, Ansleigh Duffy and Hadley Braxton; his brother John Thomas Boone of Aiken; and his sister-in-law Dottie Gunter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
