It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Williford Akins (New Ellenton, South Carolina), who passed away on October 29, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Brooks Williford; her husband Lavearn Akins; and her siblings, R. V. Williford, Ray Williford and Ollie Ruth Deal.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Akins of New Ellenton, SC, Ann Akins of Aiken, SC, Kay Fuller (Pete) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Gail Ferguson (Herb) of Fernandina Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Christy Fuller (Tammy), Barry Fuller (Angel), Jennifer Montgomery (Brad), Amanda Kirkland (Michael), Dylan Akins (Jennifer), Jennifer Perry, Wendy Temple, Herbie Ferguson (Angela), Austin Akins (Stephanie) and Zack Temple (Amber); and her siblings, Ralph Williford (Lora) and Gladys Marks. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
