It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Louise Porter Banks (Ninety Six, South Carolina), born in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Homer Lewis Banks; her parents, Nettie Jane Brooks and Henry Jacob Porter; and her siblings, Francis Clark of Nancy Bryant, J. M, Betty Davenport, Donnie Pete Porter and Alice Porter.

She is survived by : her sons, Ronnie Banks (Karen) of Greenwood and Kenneth Banks (Connie) of Boiling Springs; her grandchildren, Andrea Banks (Kirkley), Erin Davis (Brandon), Katie Dayton (Nick) and Nicholas Banks (Grace); her great grandchildren, Cole, Banks Davis, Ellis, Luke Dayton, Austin and Alyvia Banks; and her siblings, Margaret Crane of Princeton, Lois Ridgeway of Williamston and Cecil Porter of Easley.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ninety SIX First Baptist Church (205 Church St N, Ninety Six, SC 29666). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Ninety Six First Baptist Church, PO Box 85, Ninety Six, SC 29666.
