She was predeceased by: her husband Roger M. Johnston of Memphis, TN; her son James Michael Johnston; her parents, Leighton Morris and Lorene Morris Ferguson; and her brothers, Cleveland Morris of Barnwell, SC. and L. M. Morris of Barnwell, SC..
She is survived by: her children, Roger M. Johnston, Jr. (Trina Cook Johnston), Sharon K. Grigsby (Kevin Grigsby) and Teresa Johnston-Bassham (Brodrick Bassham, Jr.); her siblings, Virginia Hutto of Barnwell, SC, Neta Rutland of Barnwell, SC, Caroline Cramer of Charleston, SC and Rogers Morris; her great grandchildren, Lillie Anderson of Belleville, IL. and Caleb Anderson of Belleville, IL.; and also, Steven, Zoa Anderson of Belleville, IL, Joshua, Morgan Anderson of Elizabethtown, KY, Emily Grigsby of Elizabethtown, KY, Madison, Jake McCormick of North Augusta, SC, Grayson Johnston of North Augusta, SC and Isabella Scarlett Johnston Bassham of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to either the American Lung Association or Encompass Hospice of North Augusta, SC.
