With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Flanders McCary (North Augusta, South Carolina), born in Langley, South Carolina, who passed away on February 14, 2019 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her husband Rudolph McCary; her siblings, W. C. Flanders Jr, Vertie Coleman, Myrtle Busch, Eva Roberts, Gertrude Brett, Johnnie Mae Lindsey, Buster Flanders and Nellie Flanders; and her grandson Nolan Ryan Ford.
She is survived by: her children, Belinda Wallace (late William) of Columbia, SC, Valerie Young (Mick) of McKinney, Jamie Turner (Kathy) of North Augusta, SC and Mary Williams (Freddie) of North Augusta, SC; her sister Wilma Wilson of Bath, SC; her child James R. Turner of North Augusta; her grandchildren, Jason Ford, Chelsea Covington, April Turner, Adam Turner, Kourtney Tullos, Kenneth Tullos, III and Leslie Tullos; her great grandchildren, Keagan Covington, Kayson Covington, Trenton Williams, Jordan Tullos and Alanna Tullos; and her pet Mitzi. She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her children.
