She was predeceased by: her parents, James Myers and Jessie Bell Myers; her husband Willie "Hammie" H. Bessinger, Sr.; her son Willie "Will" H. Bessinger, Jr.; her grandsons, R. Kenneth Braxton, Jr. and William E. Braxton; and her siblings, Monroe Myers, Smith "Buck" Myers, McKenzie (Myers), Albert "Red" Myers, Thurmond Myers, Clara Myers and Jennie Feller.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joyce B. Gunnells (Tony) of Cope and Marlene Pippin (Russell) of Orangeburg; her grandchildren, Jessica Sturkie (Jason) of Orangeburg, Ashlyn Gunnells of Cope, Johnny Pippin (Tracey) of Cope and Jessica Lovern (Jason) of Cordova; Stacy VanFaussien. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
