She was predeceased by : her parents, Abraham Dykes and Essie L. McMichael; her husband Pastor Grover Reed, Jr.; her children, Virginia Ruth Reed Reddish and Grover L. Reed; and her grandson Derrick L. Reddish.

She is survived by : her children, Barbara Jackson, Thaddeus Reed (Charlene), Stanley Reed (Burnell) and Erskine Reed (Gloria); and also Elizabeth Bowman. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
