We are sad to announce that on December 31, 2021, at the age of 97, Harold Taylor Hill in Pageland, South Carolina, born in Parkersburg, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Fredrick Hill and Mary Margaret Simpson; his siblings, James Jefferson Hill and Hannah H. Funderburk; and his siblings-in-law, Edith Ruiz Hill and Guy B. Funderburk.
He is survived by: his sibling's children, Joseph F. Hill (Gill), Joaquina H. Zacharias (Ed) and MarySloane Funderburk; his great-nieces, Elizabeth H. Zacharias (Ian Bourg) and Alison H. Zacharias (Robert Strang); his great-nephew Edwin H. Zacharias IV; and his close friends, Lee Ashcraft, Kenny Davis, Nina, Charles Sawyer, Pam, Jimmy Jordan, Penny and Scott Lenich. He is also survived by one great-grandnephew and 3 great-grandnieces.
After retirement, he volunteered with different organizations, picking up food donations and delivering them to homeless shelters around the Tampa Bay area, helping at local hospitals by assisting patients in getting where they needed to go.
