She was predeceased by: her parents, John Oscar and Paris Abigail Hunter Griffin; her former husband Dwight E. Carnes; her sons, Danny E., Dano and Timothy "Tim" D. Carnes; and her siblings, Carson Griffin, Rance Griffin, Harold Griffin, Oscar Griffin and Mary Frances "Frankie" Deese.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jennifer Noelle Carnes, Justin Lee Carnes (Brooke) and Ricky Lewis; her great grandchildren, Bryson Deese, Arianna Wilson, Kenzlee McNeil and Greyson Carnes; her daughter-in-law Melinda Carnes (John Smith) of Pageland, SC; her sisters, Luna Anne Rollins of Pageland, SC, Roxie Williams of Pageland, SC and Linda Wallace of Charlotte, NC; and her pets, Penny and Tom. She is also survived by thirty one nieces and nephews.
