He was predeceased by: his parents, Thakur Gopaul and Pulbas Gopaul. He is survived by: his children, Andrew Gopaul of Pageland, SC, Shawn Gopaul (Hannah) of Pageland, SC, Shantie Mathis (Wayne) of Pageland, SC and Kristina Lewis (Andrew) of Cheraw, SC; his granddaughter Cindy Crump; his siblings, Vidia, Satyadeo, Ram, Pretam, Baljit Gopaul and Prematee Gopaul (Tobago) of Trinidad; his grandchildren, Oakley Gopaul, Dash Lewis, Kylee Mathis, Rylan Mathis and Tristan Mathis; and his great grandchild Grayson Mathis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Hope Family Worship Center (32249 SC-9, Pageland, SC 29728). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
