He is survived by: his wife Debra Turner; his mother Betty Turner of Cheraw; his children, Amanda Mishue (Bradley) of Hartsville, Kelley Rubish (Pete) of Knoxville, TN, Terri Anne Cribb (Jason) of Patrick, Brannon Turner (Kristen) of Vienna, WV and Jason Winburn (Michelle) of Hartsville; his sisters, Penny Jacobs (Byron) of Chesterfield and Ann Griggs (James) of Cheraw; and his grandchildren, Trent Winburn (Lynsee), Pateyn Walker (Andrew), Brooke Devaney (Bradley), Brannon Turner Jr., Logan Turner, Emily Christopher, Hunter Turner, Josiah Christopher, Gracie Winburn, Sandler Meadors, Walker Mishue, Ettalyn Mishue and Summer Rubish. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Norton Funeral Home of Hartsville (1414 W Carolina Ave, Hartsville, SC 29550). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gene can be sent to the Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Cancer Walk, 2005 Thorpshire Drive Raleigh, NC 27615 (Checks made payable to Duke Ovarian Cancer Fund).
